Rum Runner is a neutered male Carolina Dog. He was born on 1/15/2021. He is  a medium dog, about 40 pounds. He has a medium energy level. This boy will want a fenced yard as he loves his outside playtime.

Rum Runner was stray until he was five months old. He is very dog social. He loves other dogs and gets along with every dog at the Adoption Center. He likes to have a dog companion to play with and to give him confidence. He has been fine with male and female companions dogs. He adores playing outside and is always up for a romp.

Rum Runner knows basic obedience. He can walk on a leash and is crate trained. He knows sit and down. He sleeps well in a crate. He does not love a car ride but does ride quietly. He has not shown interest in jumping out of his foster’s yard and stayed well in a 4 1/2 foot fence. When he is in a yard, he does bark vigorously at strangers.

Rum Runner was not touched by humans as a young puppy. He is very shy of being touched and does not enjoy it. He flinches away from hands. This deserving boy could be a great companion to another dog. He is not asking for a lot out of life. He wants to have a safe home with regular meals and a buddy to play with. After he gets to know you, he likes people although he will always want to keep a little independence. He probably will never be that guy who cuddles on the couch.

He currently lives at our adoption center in Spindale, NC and is ready to go to a loving home. The adoption fee is $75.00. Rum Runner is neutered, heart worm negative, microchipped and up-to-date with vaccinations, worming and flea treatment.
